Meet our team

IMG_3120.jpg

For more than a quarter of a century, local farmers’ daughter Mary Parker has been serving hot meals and cream teas to locals and thousands of tourists who flood in to Glastonbury every year.

Overlooking the ruins of Glastonbury Abbey, which was destroyed during the reformation by King Henry VIII, the small team at our quintessential English tea room are passionate about good, local food.

Using local ingredients and traditional cooking methods in our very own kitchen, our old fashioned service and quality food and cakes bring back memories from days long gone and offers a slice of what’s typically British for those visiting from overseas.

We pride ourselves on a traditional atmosphere right down to the waitress service, linen tablecloths, fresh flowers and pretty china. The walls are adorned with horse brasses, local pictures and photographs and pieces of decorative china, some of which are for sale.

The staff are lovely and so friendly, the owner Mary is absolutely delightful and always takes the time to chat to her customers. The service is polite and speedy, what is there to not like about it?
